Relationships are some of the most important aspects of our lives because we, humans, have a very tribal nature. We like to spend time with friends and family and isolation from others often feels like a punishment. Imagine an invisible cord that connects your soul to your body, to your family members, to your friends, neighbors, coworkers, etc. That’s what relationships are – invisible but powerful threads that tie and bond us together, sometimes throughout our lifetimes. Whether you’re aware of it or not, each person in your extended tribe is significant and may affect you and your life in so many ways!
Often when you hear or see the word “relationship” you automatically think about the relationship with your partner or your children, family members or friends. But the meaning of “relationship” in our lives is much, much broader and first and foremost includes the relationship with your Self.
Our stressful and competitive modern society often fosters self-judgment, a feeling of unworthiness and comparison of oneself and one’s achievements with those of others. In the meantime, confidence, self-love, self-reliance, and faith are absolutely essential in order to have a joyful, successful, and liberated life.
Each union helps you grow as an individual and brings spiritual value as well. Colloquial expressions such as “like attracts like” and “when the student is ready, the teacher will appear” suggest that there are energetic forces working in the background that arrange who, where, and when we meet. When you develop patterns of energy that attract to you people who are your opposites in some way or when you simply have challenging experiences with members of your own family – pay attention because there are important messages for you to learn from these encounters!
Nothing is random.
In the upcoming book “Make better choices in regards to your Relationships”, my co-author and I are going to share with you our personal challenges and experiences; discuss various practical ways to nurture yourself, reclaim your wholeness, and transform your relationships with others.
