  • Would you like to “dance your life away”?

Do you conform to social norms or live YOUR life YOUR way?

I am always inspired by people that defy their age, physical limitations, or social norms and expectations. Unfortunately, some people, especially women, habitually put themselves in some kind of category (a.k.a. box), whether it’s an “age category”, or “weight category”, “i am not good enough category”, or “single woman category“, or ________________ (you fill the blank). Many of our self-perceptions and expectations are defined by social norms, pressure to conform, self-imposed sense of inadequacy. Do you relate to any of the above? I do, sometimes… It is not unusual for me to use my age as an excuse to not do something… (more…)

Wisdom of the Masters Series: What You Think Is What You Get

Personal Philosophy Is Like the Set of the Sail by Jim Rohn

In the process of living, the winds of circumstances blow on us all in an unending flow that touches each of our lives.

We have all experienced the blowing winds of disappointment, despair and heartbreak. Why, then, would each of us, in our own individual ship of life, all beginning at the same point, with the same intended destination in mind, arrive at such different places at the end of the journey? Have we not all been blown by the winds of circumstances and buffeted by the turbulent storms of discontent?

What guides us to different destinations in life is determined by the way we have chosen to set our sail. The way that each of us thinks makes the major difference in where each of us arrives. The major difference is the set of the sail.

The same circumstances happen to us all. We have disappointments and challenges. We all have reversals and those moments when, in spite of our best plans and efforts, things just seem to fall apart. (more…)

  • Every Journey starts with a question “Who am I?”

Every Journey starts with a question “Who am I?”

We get What We Are, Not What We Want

Have you ever been busy doing something, looking for answers or solutions to only discover that it’s not something that is very important to you or you want to do in your life? I have… For a long time I was making myself really busy with a lot of things and often felt discouraged at the end because it was not something I wanted to do.

What if you start any journey not with looking for answers, solutions, and “How”s but rather with asking yourself simple and focused questions?.. Question “Who am I?” would be a good start. Having Clarity about your deep beliefs and desires is obvious and logical, but rarely done in real life. We hear a lot about “Creating reality” theories and techniques, but discovering what you really think about yourself is a key to having a life you want. Because we don’t get in life what we want, we get what we are. (more…)

“How Can I Have More Money?” Start With Your Attitude

How Your Attitude Affects Your Finances

Editor’s Note: This blog post is a contribution by a guest writer Agatha K

The number one question I always get asked is, “How can I have more money”?

People want to know how they can make more money and save more money.

And, most importantly, how to live a more free life so they can actually enjoy themselves rather than always worrying about money.

You might think the first thing I tell them to do is crack open their calculators and start budgeting ASAP or hit the classified ads to get a part time job to supplement their income. NOPE! (more…)

  • Do You Suffer From Procrastination?

    Do You Suffer From Procrastination?

Here are 5 Quick and Easy ways to Stop Procrastinating and Start Acting

Do you habitually procrastinate or re-schedule your appointments, postpone your resume submissions, or delay scheduling a licensing exam? If that resonates with you – keep reading.

Procrastination is more common these days than we realize or are willing to admit. There are many “reasons” that we use to explain this habit – a habitual mufti-tasking, overwhelming number of “to do list” items, fear of “not being ready/good enough/ perfect” or increased demand on our time and attention. Sorry to disappoint your “fancy” but it doesn’t really matter what is your reason (excuse) for procrastination – you may rob yourself from the opportunities and… peace of mind. In my opinion, procrastination is a habit that you have without realizing it. “The way you do anything is the way you do everything”. (more…)
