Essential #5 for Creating Wealth and Success

Essential #5 for Creating Wealth and Success

Do you believe that the most authentic way to create wealth in your life is by helping other people have more of what they want?

I like the expression “authentic money”. That’s the money you make by authentic self-expression, by “doing” you. LOL

That’s the wealth you create by being authentically you – using your natural talents, skills, and experiences while making a difference in others’ lives.

And that’s the Essential #5 for Creating Wealth and Success:

Make a Difference, Enrich the Lives of Others.

    People who offer value

    • by solving or helping solve work / health / relationship / career / financial problems, or
    • by helping others achieve their goals faster and easier, or
    • by helping people feel good about themselves and their lives

get rewarded for enriching the lives of others.

    Would you agree?

Names that come to mind are Steve Jobs, Oprah Winfrey, Tony Robbins…

So, it is really important to become aware of the kind of problems you can help people solve…or  joyful / fun experiences you can help them have.

I love the quote by Neale Donald Walsch: “Your job is to help others get to where you are. Why do you suppose you know the terrain so well?”

People are willing to pay for enriching their lives – reducing/removing painful experiences, or having more joy and fun in their lives.

Also, I believe that you’ve got to be willing to GIVE first, BEFORE you start RECEIVING.

There are two extreme categories of people who offer services.

The first extreme group is the “Eternal Givers”. These people give, and give, and give….

They are afraid to over-charge, they are worried that nobody will buy from them because it might be “too expensive” for others, so they often charge NOTHING or waaaay below the offered value.

The Eternal Givers undervalue their services immensely and do a real disservice to their potential clients. WHY?

Because to stay in business, you’ve got to make profit. Period. End of story.

The second extreme group, the “Hard Receivers”, are people who get impatient with the wealth creation process and only focus on the receiving part. They feel that their time is too valuable to offer ANY services without charging…a lot.

It is my belief that there are no shortcuts in this principle. You’ve got to keep offering value first – willingly and joyfully – until you create an energetic momentum and get in the flow of abundance.

Most successful and wealthy people went through growth and maturing phases in their businesses before they became “rich and powerful.” Many were offering value for a long time before they started receiving the financial windfall.

The higher the perceived value of your offerings and the more lives you touch, the higher your financial and personal reward will be.

And it will happen on Divine time, which may be different from your expected time-frame. So, don’t get discouraged if you are still growing and building the momentum.

OK, one more important awareness that I want to mention here:

Pay attention to what place you offer your services from.

Is your main focus to make 5-6 figure per month?

Are you focused mostly on enriching yourself, becoming famous, and have more financial wealth for yourself?

Or you really desire to add TRUE value to the lives of others?

Really excited to help people solve their problems, become more confident, competent and successful while creating the life you want to have for yourself?

    One more thing….

If you experience resistance to your work, there could be a couple of reasons:

    1. Universe is testing your commitment and resilience,
    2. The work that you do does not support the Universal direction of expansion – for yourself and/or others.

    Does it make sense?

What do you think about this essential? I’d love to hear from you!

  • Essential #4 for Creating Wealth and Success

Essential #4 for Creating Wealth and Success

What does “Think, Feel, and LIVE Wealthy” mean to you?

You might be surprised…but this is the essential #4 for creating Wealth and Success!

Yep. That’s right. And before you whisper “phew, I know that!”, let me elaborate.

For most people “living wealthy” means staying at 5-star hotels, going to fancy restaurants, wearing designer cloth, driving a luxury car, living in a gorgeous house….

    Guess what?

You don’t have to OWN it, you can SAMPLE it, then Create it!

You can experience that which you’d like to have before owning it!

    Yes, SAMPLE YOUR DESIRES!

You can go to car dealerships and ask to test-drive your favorite car.

You can meet with a realtor and ask her to show you houses that you’d love to live in.

You can visit these houses, FOCUS ON YOUR DESIRE to live in such houses, get super excited and motivated, and start creating your imaginary Wealthy Life though feeling it, sampling it, and…yes, “faking” living it as if you already have it.

What can you do to reinforce that?

The key is to affirm that you belong there and deserve that kind of wealth and abundance in your life.

You possess powerful faculties – AWARENESS, IMAGINATION, ATTENTION, and INTENTION – that you can use to create your NEW WAY of BEING.

Your new way of being could be feeling and having more wealth, or achieving financial independence, or buying a new car, or moving into a new house, or feeling more at peace, successful and confident.

So, what do you think about an idea that you can choose to think, feel and act abundantly to start creating financial wealth?

Frankly, I used to make fun of notorious “fake it until you make it” statement.

    But guess what?

    It works.

Let me share one examples from my own life.

When we used to live in New York, we would come to the Winter Garden at the World Financial Center around Christmas time, look at the beautiful view on the river, the yachts at the marina, the Christmas tree, the ambiance of wealth and success.

And I would imagine how cool it could be to work here. To be in this environment, this gorgeous place….

    Guess what?!

A couple of years later, I got a job with a company in this very building and we had amazing Christmas parties in this exact place, the Winter Garden!

    Coincidence? I don’t think so.

So, how does “fake it until you make it” work?

You can put yourself in a state of abundance, fullness, and wholeness by using your

    –        awareness (e.g. “I am creating a new way of being),
    –        physiology (e.g. abdominal breathing, adjusting your posture, relaxing your facial muscles and shoulders, eye contact, smiling,)
    –        psychology (e.g. shifting your perception about your current situation, focusing on and appreciating what you have, etc.),

and your life experiences will change.

If you’ve been struggling financially, most likely you’ve been blocked by your old conditioning that keeps you focusing on what’s missing, what’s not working…

If you PRACTICE looking, thinking, and acting abundantly, you’ll shift your attention, up level your energetic vibration, and begin to FEEL differently, which will start attracting new opportunities into your life.

And one more thing. The way you look – your outfit, your posture, your hair and facial expression – conveys your physiological and psychological states and your energy.

And people feel your energy without exchanging a single word with you. And most importantly, looking good feels good!

When you FEEL GOOD, YOU LOOK GOOD, and YOU DO GOOD.

Wear clothes that make YOU feel prosperous, confident, cool (and that means different things for different people)!

De-clutter your wardrobe from the old and unattractive stuff – only wear clothes and colors that reflect where you want to be not where you have been.

And it doesn’t have to be super expansive stuff either – just something that makes YOU FEEL GOOD.

    Follow your “FEEL GOOD” compass!

    Think, Feel, and Live Wealthy.

Deep transformations require patience and practice.

The suggestions offered here may feel like fake for some time…. Keep practicing anyway, keep training your mind without attachments. And have fun with it!

Things will start shifting, your feelings will change, your energy will change, and you will start attracting amazing opportunities instead of repelling them.

I’d love to hear from you! Hit the reply and let me know what you think about the Essential #4.

How to Become Financially Independent: 4 Essentials of the Wealth Pathway

Millen Livis, Wealth Coach, Financial Empowerment Mentor, Building Wealth, Wealth Programs, Investing Training, Wealth Mindset

“How did you become financially independent?”

“How much money you had when you started?”

“How much time did it take you to build the income needed for being financially free?”

“How can I become financially free?”

These are good questions that I hear from people who know me enough to ask them.

And I totally understand the desire to know HOW…  While money is not everything and it cannot buy you happiness, it helps to enjoy life, right?  LOL

In this articles I want to cover the HOW questions. But first, let ME ask you a few questions…

…do you feel like you have to work hard for your money for the rest of your life?

…do you worry that you don’t do enough for your financial future?

…does the idea of becoming financially Independent seem like farfetched to you?

If you’ve answered YES to ANY of my questions – keep reading.  Otherwise, stop and go for a walk, or make love, or dance, or whatever. LOL

Are you still here? Then let’s dive into the 4 Essentials of the Pathway to Wealth.

If you’ve read my books, or heard me speaking and teaching, you know that I always emphasize the Duality of Money and Wealth.

Since EVERYTHING IS ENERGY, so IS MONEY.

Money and Wealth have a certain energy vibration Frequency that YOU CAN ALIGN WITH.

When it happens, you FEEL BLISSFUL and BLESSED, PEACEFUL and LOVED. NATURALLY.

And you can literally rewire your brain to align with the frequency of wealth by training yourself using particular rituals and developing certain habits and attitudes. You can find this information in a few other articles here  and here.

However, the information is not enough. You’ve got to apply it.

You’ve got to TRAIN YOUR MIND to ALLOW, to RECEIVE with EASE, to BE in the Frequency of Wealth naturally and continuously.

YES, your energy ALIGNMENT is super important. However, we also live in a physical, real world.  And in the real world, you’ve got to know the tactical/practical aspects of creating wealth.

Just like when you travel and want to get from point A to point B, you likely want to have a map to your destination (or use your GPS), unless you know the terrain already. Would you agree?

I distilled the intricacies of the PATHWAY to WEALTH into 4 essential elements. Let’s briefly go over them.

4 Essentials of the Wealth Pathway

    1. MAKE MONEY. You’ve got to offer VALUE. You’ve got to GIVE in order to GAIN. Your own alignment with higher energy vibration is very important here because it helps you become magnetic to your clients, prospective clients, hiring managers, etc.

    Sources of income could be:

    • Job
    • Business
    • Other sources of income
    1. KEEP MONEY. You’ve got to control your in-coming and out-coming cash flow and keep some of your money so you can grow it. You have at least 3 levers to control your cash flow:
    • Income
    • Budget (or a certain pattern of Spending);
    • Debt
    1. GROW MONEY. Develop a strategic plan for growing your money. You can use LEVERAGE to grow your money by:
    • Investing in the Stock Market
    • Investing in Real Estate
    • Investing in Private businesses
    • Buying a franchise business
    • Building your own business
    • Other
    1. MAKE MONEY WORK FOR YOU. You can design your Financial Independence by having multiple sources of passive income. That’s the financial setup when your money starts working for you. It’s not a question of IF but rather WHEN if you incorporate all the other essential elements.

ALL 4 essentials of the Wealth Pathway are very intertwine. You’ve got to attend to all of them in order to experience true Financial Freedom.

I hope that this simplified breakdown of the essential elements helps you see more clear how YOU too can get to Wealth and Financial Independence.

However, there is a catch here.

EVERYBODY WANTS TO HAVE WEALTH and FREEDOM BUT FEW ARE WILLING TO TRAIN TO HAVE IT.

If YOU are one of those few, let me share with you a MAP of TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES that cover one or several Wealth Pathway essentials.

These trainings are the VEHICLES designed to help you get to your desired destination faster and easier, with less setbacks and detours, and more fun.

Frankly, I don’f know if it’s valuable to you or not… there are a lot of variables here. However, if you’re truly ready to step out of your old story and are  committed to your goals – I am open to have a CONVERSATION and see if there is a fit.

Here’s the video I recorded about the 4 Essentials of the Wealth Pathway

  • What Is Your Worth? Hint: It’s Not What You Think!

What Is Your Worth? Hint: It’s Not What You Think!

“The more you’re like yourself, the less you are like anyone else, which makes you unique.”
    ~ Walt Disney

“I am not where I supposed to be in this stage of my life.”

“I appreciate the great money I make but I feel I could do and have more.”

“If I only had a thriving business, I would be happy. I don’t feel that I live my full potential.”

In my experience as a wealth coach and financial freedom mentor, I have yet to meet a single woman who was truly deeply connected to the intrinsic magic that she possesses.

I am referring to the true magic of YOU that is so much more than your appearance, your business success or the size of your bank/brokerage account.

I am referring to the magic of YOU that you were so highly aware of when you were a little kid.

Remember those glorious days when everything was possible; when you were happy by just being YOU?

Remember the time when you didn’t try to prove your worth or impress anybody? When you didn’t compare yourself?

Do you remember those days when your heart was filled with enthusiasm for life and curiosity about ‘what else is possible’?

Would you agree that you were more connected to the REAL YOU when you were a child than you are now?

Although your physical body has changed significantly, the true essence of you as pure consciousness, as spiritual being, hasn’t changed!

That’s why when you see your picture when you were 3 or 5 years old, you can easily recognize yourself although there is not a single cell that is present in your body now was present than…

“How does all this relate to money and wealth?’ you may ask.

    Good Question!

If you want to achieve success in life, you must shift your perception of yourself as limited, unlucky or any other judgmental label you may have assigned to yourself.

Money is energy and it likes to ‘hangout’ with those who emit true enthusiasm for life and live in the question “What else is possible?”

So many people live their lives by subconsciously counting their ‘successes and failures’, their ‘right and wrong decisions’, their ‘luck and misfortunes’.

What if you shifted your perspective of yourself and stopped trying to ‘prove your value’?

What if you released your judgements of yourself whatever they may be – successful, unlucky, looser, achiever – and instead truly connected to the AWARENESS of YOUR INTRINSIC VALUE?

I realize that these suggestions may sound esoteric or even radical for some of you… After all, it’s part of our culture to strive for bigger and better, for glamour and fame, right?

It is also likely that your parents had good intentions while planting the seeds of judgement in your mind by saying things like “You could do much better.”

Ask yourself, does it make YOU happier to be in a perpetual ‘proving your worth’ state of mind?

Does it make YOU more joyful, more loving and more connected to God?

It has been my personal experience and observation of other people’s struggles that looking for your value and trying to prove your worth or your specialness lead to comparisons, endless competitiveness and, ultimately, inner unhappiness or turmoil.

Rather than BEING AWARE and OWNING THE INTRINSIC VALUE OF YOU,  you’re trying to prove your value and your worth. By the way, when I say you, I include myself in this category, as I too had been in this subtle mental trap for a long time.

Today I invite you to entertain the following questions

    • What would it be like if you stopped judging yourself and trying to prove your value and instead recognized your inherited worthiness?
    • How much happier will you feel?
    • How much freer will you be?

I find true Self-awareness to be so important for life satisfaction and wealth building that I incorporate these concepts of ‘winning the inner game’ into my wealth building training as essential elements for living a prosperous, happy and healthy.

5 Tips on How Couples Can Deal with Differences around Money and Investing

Do you fight with your partner every time you talk about money?

Or do you have open, candid “money conversations” with your partner?

Or do you avoid talking about money with your partner so you can avoid fights and frustration?

Research has shown that couples that avoid fights about money, often end up having less wealth and not being prepared for a successful retirement.

No one wants to fight, of course. Howevere, money is the #1 thing couples argue about. And you probably heard that fighting about money is often an early predictor of divorce.

So, why would couples get sucked in into the argument about money when it causes so much stress, tension, and destruction?

While nobody wants conflict, avoiding communicating and working through disagreements with your partner can hurt the relationship and put your future financial security at risk.

I’ve met many women who shared their frustration about not being able to “talk money” with their partner in a constructive and candid way.

“I love my husband and don’t want to get into big arguments over money. So, I stopped talking about money with him all together. And now I have my secret money accounts.”

“I was sick of fighting about money. Now we both avoid these conversations.”

“We can’t ever agree when it comes to investing. He does his thing and I do mine.”

While many couples default to “not talking about money”, this solution usually comes back to haunt them.

    Here’s why.

Men in a couple tend to have higher confidence and higher appetite for risk than women.

Because men usually have more risky investments and higher balance, women tend to keep substantial amount of cash in case of  emergencies.  In other words, to balance her husband’s high-risk investments, a wife often compensates it by keeping a high balance in FDIC-insured bank accounts, which provide safety but little or no return. This allows her to sleep at night and avoid arguments.

While it may work for some couples, this strategy may cost couples loss of opportunities in the end. If they invest $100,000 in a super-safe bank account earning 0.5%, rather than a conservative balanced index fund that may have earned 3.5%, they would have passed up 3% per year in earnings for each year the funds are invested.

On a $100,000 account, that’s $3,000 a year, and $30,000 over 10 years (not including reinvested dividends and capital gains.)

On the other hand, husband’s high-risk investing strategy may lead to significant loss of family wealth that he is trying to build by taking higher risk.

I believe, there are better ways to managing money as a couple than fighting over it or avoiding talking about money. Here are a few tips to get couples started on the road to creating wealth together:

    1.  Communicate

I believe in candid and transparent communication in the relationship. Have a candid ‘money talk’, be open about your concerns, and share your preferences when it comes to investing ideas. Don’t avoid ‘difficult conversations’ – find a way to have them in a constructive and respective way.

Work through your financial conflicts (rather than fighting about them or avoiding them altogether). If this seems daunting, you may consider talking to a financial planner, even if you are a do-it-yourself investor. If you can’t seem to work through financial arguments and have very different risk tolerance with your partner, get independent help to work through your differences and overcome communications’ challenges.

    1.  Set financial goals as a couple

Determine the return you’ll need to get on your investment in order to meet your financial goals. You may not need to take on additional risk to reach your financial goals. Calculate your annual lifestyle spending to determine what your rate of return on your investments needs to be, based on the amount you are currently saving. Don’t take more risk than you need, however, don’t be overly conservative either. Your investment returns must be adequate to meet your goals.

Set goals as a couple and develop investment strategies around those goals. For example, are you going to invest in the stock market?  Rental real estate? In your growing business? If so, what percentage of your total assets you want to invest in each asset allocation?

If one of you wants to trade or invest in high-risk investments, limit the amount you allocate into high-risk investments and integrate these investments into your overall plan.

    1.  Compromise

I like to remind women that they should “pick their battles.” While some things are definitely worth fighting for, some things aren’t worth the argument. Your financial future is definitely worth fighting for.

When you have a “money talk”, listen to your partner, really hear his point of view when it comes to investing family money, and see if there is a way to find a common ground. Willingness to compromise is important for the healthy relationship. However, never compromise on your core values in life.

For example, if Freedom is your core value and you feel that your current employment is totally draining your energy and health, although paying you a very good salary, leap your way out of this situation even if your partner feels it’s wrong for your family finances.

When you force yourself to do something that you utterly resist, you compromise on something that is deeply important to you and can make yourself seek.  Money is important, but your health and vitality are more important than money.

    1.  Dream together

Your money talks don’t need to be only about bills you have coming up and debt you need to repay. These conversations do need to take place, of course. But you can also share your aspirations that require you to save and grow you money – maybe a new house, or a trip, or a business that you’re passionate about. Whatever it may be – dreaming together, having common goals will help you get closer and inspire you as a couple to work toward your goals.

Do the “Five-Year Exercise.” If you only had five years to live, what would you like to do, have or experience?

Don’t overthink or censor yourself. Just start writing it down. If you are married or in a relationship, each of you should write your lists separately. Then, as a couple, choose what you’d like to do, have or experience, both together and individually. It’s hard to fight or argue about money when you are working together toward important goals. Don’t give up on your dreams!

    1.  Become Financially Empowered

Invest in yourself – let go of your inner blocks, become equipped with knowledge about strategic investing. Although having a MBA in finance might be nice, you don’t need it to be financially successful. Having a solid base of financial knowledge will take you a long way. Couples who both understand financial fundamentals, can make better financial decisions, especially when they make them together.

Besides, it’s quite likely that at some point you may be 100% responsible for your own investment and money decisions. Now is the time to upgrade your skills and knowledge about savvy money management and investing.
